Rain forces early end to day 3, India 462/6

Dhaka, June 12 (RDI IBNS) Rain hit the third day of the one-off Test match between India and Bangladesh, forcing an early end to the proceedings as Virat Kohli's men scored 462 runs for the loss of six wickets here on Friday.

With not a single ball being bowled due to heavy rains on Thursday, the third day saw 47.4 overs being bowled with M Vijay hitting 150 runs and opener Shikhar Dhawan scoring 173 runs. Ajinkya Rahane later contributed 98 runs where he smashed 98 runs. India had scored 239 runs without the loss of any wicket on the firs day of the match which was also disrupted due to rain. The dynamic openers- Dhawan and Vijay- added 283 runs in the first wicket partnership. Vijay and Rahane later added 114 runs in the fourth wicket partnership as India moved closer to 500 runs mark in the first innings. With rain hitting the match everyday so far and several overs being wasted, the match is slowly moving towards a draw. Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan picked up four wickets for the home team.
